Tradition
Unior hand tools programme produces over 7.6 million items of tools and sheet metal housing per year. It is the successor of the rich blacksmith tradition in the Pohorje area and North-East Slovenia. 
Tradition- Pohorje forgesIn the 19th century, several manufactured forges emerged in the area of Pohorje. They were used to manufacture agricultural and craft tools. Their work was related to four ironworks in this area. Entrepreneurship- the first mechanical forging plantThe first factory of forged tools was established in the early 20th century, in the year 1919. Engineers Mirko Bremec and Walter Mach established Styria Iron-Industrial Company in Zreče, where the company Unior still has its premises today. The company was then a modern factory and produced forged tools for farming, mining and craft. The forging plant was turned into a mechanical forge. New plans- forged tools factoryThe forge was renovated after the Second World War. In 1947, after the restoration and completion of the building, the forge was renamed into the Factory of Forged Tools Zreče. Quality- global brand UniorIn the second half of the 20th century, the factory developed mostly by investing into the production of hand tools. Mostly oriented towards the development of universal tools, the factory was renamed in 1974; it became known as Unior, the Factory of Forged Tools Zreče. During the next decades, Unior has established a widespread network of sale and distribution worldwide. Unior began the work in the 21st century by meeting numerous demanding quality standards and standards for environmental management. The company already co-owned the steel factory in Štore and entered the American, Australian, Russian and Chinese markets with its own companies. Unior is the global brand of hand tools.

Own development, modern production lines, computer- controlled technology of recognized partners (Mori Seki, Miyano, Daewoo and others) together with the innovatively planned and flexible processes assure the top quality of production.
Unior's global expertise and the use of excellent machines and other equipment are engaged in all key phases; from mechanical and thermal processing to surface processing and protection of cold forging.
Mechanical material processing
Chamfer machines and adequate chamfer needles enable adequate chamfering of various internal and external profiles. The processing of various products following the procedure of material removal (drilling, thread cutting, milling, turning, etc.) is performed on modern CNC machines.
Sheet metal processing
Unior's technology assures quality circular welding following MAG procedure up to the diameter and length 300 mm. Eccentric and hydraulic presses (up to 160 ton) enable extensive transformation of sheet metal; the process of bending is performed with the help of CNC Salvagnini machines using robotized technology. The robotic welding cell enables the resistance welding of sheet metal housing components.
Thermal material processing
Hardening furnace processing is performed in the protective atmosphere which prevents decarburization on the surface; the adequate hardness on the individual local parts of tools is achieved by the process of induction hardening.
Surface protection of materials
Nickel, chromium and phosphate surface protection is performed on automated, computer controlled and ecologically modern production lines. Surface protection can be implemented by applying on the surface one or several plastic layers in different colours.

Lein Racing
Lein Racing is a new racing team. In the team there are support staff and three racing drivers. Young and with lot of potential Mladen Lalušič and more experienced Dejan Bulatovič are racing in prestige Seat Leon Eurocup which is taking place on most prestige racing circuits in Europe. Besides racing in Seat Leon Eurocup, team is working on another young potential. Racing driver Uroš Brkič is racing in Clio Trophy Endurance Cup. Lein Racing team and Unior started their cooperation in season 2014, when team was searching for supplier of high quality and precision made hand tools for servicing racing cars. Polish team is stronger than ever for the 2015 season. Maja Wloszczowska is silver medalist from Beijing Olympic games and also a strong favorite for Rio. New on the team is also Bartlomiej Wawak, marathon World Champion. Kross also extended contracts with Anna Szafraniec-Rutkiewicz and Kornel Osicki, meaning they want a good result on every international event. Unior guarantees for all its tools against the defects in material or in production and they will be repaired free of charge when they are used correctly or they will be replaced with presentation of suitable documentation. The guarantee is not valid for the tools which were modified without consent of Unior or if they are worn out or otherwise damages. It is not possible to put into effect the guarantee for the damages which would result from the use of these tools.
